Here I am again sharing my rants about Philhosting.net. I had another terrible encounter, as terrible as their services, with this local web host few hours after sharing my rants.

Well just to tell everyone, right there and then, I’ve been constantly monitoring my website—hour after hour just to see if there are any updates or if my issue has already been resolved.

To my surprise, I see this notification which bothered me:

This website has been suspend temporarily for some reason.
If you are the owner of this site, please contact our sales: sales@philhosting.net

I didn’t waste a single second to contact the sales team of this web host. What’s alarming? They didn’t give any word or explanation why they had to do so. So what the heck do I have to contact them if they will not just respond? They even DELETED that particular e-ticket / e-mail. I was so angry this afternoon and I feel like I want to explode and shout out loud. Now, I can’t access my website, e-mails, control panel, and everything on MY site at all. Good thing is I prepared for this. I was able to backup everything the past few days sensing that it would end up to this.


And also, the adsense links / advertisements under the notification is disturbing as well. What does it mean? Does Philhosting.net wanna make money from my TRAFFIC?


CHECKING OUT THE TERMS OF SERVICE (of Philhosting.net)

I. ACCOUNTS CAN BE REFUSED AND/OR DISCONTINUED AT PHILHOSTING COMPANY LTD. DISCRETION. This is a very careful and secure company and WE WILL check your customer input to confirm your information. Any irregularities will be cause for refusal. We do not have instant activation for this reason. but we do have HIGHLY satisfied customers on a clean service as a result!

My point: Oh well. At their discretion. But don’t I deserve to know why they had to suspend my account? They asked me to e-mail them but DID I RECEIVE ANY RESPONSE? NONE. NOT ANY WORD. THEY JUST DELETED MY FIRST E-MAIL about the suspension.  What do I need to expect? That’s what they kept on doing to me, ignoring my e-mails.

II. SPAM Client shall not send bulk e-mail, commonly know as spam, from or through their account.
Any use of Client’s account to send bulk e-mail shall be a material breach of this agreement and shall be grounds for immediate cancellation of Client’s account without notice.

My point: I admit. I sent them several e-mails after I get so pissed off already. But who wouldn’t get mad? I am being ignored. I’m a customer. I’ve paid for the services which they promised to deliver (and apparently they failed to do so) but none of them cared to reply at my e-mails. All I wanted was an assurance. I wanted to know the status of my request.  I don’t wanna be left somewhere out there hanging, clueless on when they can really fix my website.


III. System resources. The most important limitation of a shared web hosting service is the resources allocation. System resources are mainly CPU RAM, which are used by softwares and your websites.

Host limits its customers to a 2% system resource usage. It is a maximum of 2% of the total system resources that can be used by a single customer. That applies to all clients hosted on the same server.

If client account uses too much system resources, Philhosting's support staff will notify the client.

My say: I wasn’t notified AT ALL.

In this situation, client have only two (2) solutions. Client can fix the situation by using less system resources of thier site content or client can migrate to a dedicated server. In some cases, where the use of resources would reduce the availability of services to other customers, client only given a maximum 48 hours to fix the situation or else account will be temporarilly suspended.

My say: I was advised to UPGRADE. I paid for it but nothing changed. I’m still encountering the problem I raised right before my web account has been suspended.

These rules are written to prevent misuse of the Philhosting?s offers (bandwidth, disk space and system resources) in order to give assure your entire satisfaction using the amazing Philhosting web hosting offers.

IV. Technical Support. Only email support is provided for all clients. Support is provided in first-come-first-server basis to make it fair to all the clients.

My say: Where is this email support they are talking about? I’m not getting any response to my e-mails!

I let you all be the judge. MISLEADING or NOT? DOES THE COMPANY LIVE TO WHAT IT IS PROMISING TO DELIVER?

Haven't tried the paid webhosting services except the free ones from yahoo but I did buy my domain from yahoo and I'm very satisfied with it. I guess if they're terminating your account, you should try out the more reliable webhosting companies outside the country.

starting with this particular webost is apparently a big mistake for me. They already suspended my account, and even asked me to email them but they are not replying. They even just deleted and ignored my email. Few months ago, I've got another webhost which is US-based but it isn't easy at all for me to move it right away..

I sent my third e-mail requesting them to explain to me the reason of my suspension as well as to terminate my account and give me the details of my domain so I can start transferring it but they did not respond and just DELETED my e-ticket AGAIN.

I myself was a victim of this company, I was duped by this company last year when I decided to transfer my domain registration with them from another domain registrar based in US. Please see the link below regarding my rant on this company.

They didn't even say or feel sorry for their mistake and they don't even have the courtesy to inform their clients on a timely manner that the service we requested from them was unsuccessful, I felt being duped, ripped off or scammed.
